What is a Seder? From Egypt to Freedom: The Meaning of the Seder

The Seder is the traditional meal through which the Jewish people keep Passover, obeying God’s command to remember the night He delivered them from slavery in Egypt. Under the leadership of Moses, God brought His people out of bondage and into freedom by His mighty power.

Through symbolic foods, Scripture readings, prayers, and storytelling, the Seder retells that saving act so that each generation remembers: God hears the cries of His people, God acts, and God brings freedom.

To keep the Passover is to celebrate the power of God to deliver his people. The Seder is a reminder of hard times and God’s joyous salvation from them. The Passover never changes because it is the history of God and His people. Yet God himself intervened and changed His story. No longer would a Passover lamb be needed for the sins of the people. There would no longer be a blood sacrifice offered. Jesus, the perfect Lamb of God, became the sacrifice to take away the sins of the world.

Our Passover Seder will include all the elements of a Passover meal. We will discover the rich symbolism of the elements of Passover. We will explore the traditions and sing the songs of Passover. We will enjoy a delicious catered meal while giving thanks to God for delivering us from slavery to sin and death by the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ!

~ YOU MUST HAVE RESERVATIONS TO ATTEND THE SEDER ~
Each table will be set with fresh flowers and all the elements required for the Passover celebration.
This is a family event but a nursery for infants and toddlers will be available upon request.
The public is also invited to make reservations for this Seder.

We have a maximum of 72 seats available.
Reservations must be made by noon, March 27th.
